Huzza for Father's days and Birthdays! Due to my mid June birthday I always have joint presents and celebrations each year. This year I got a couple weapons and I will review each individually.
First off my tactical tomahawk from SOG is an amazing device. The weapon is perfectly balanced and it throws like a dream. The blade and the spike have great penetrating power; if thrown or used by hand it can be driven all the way into a wooden stump. A great feature to this tomahawk is the hammer head on the side of the blade that works incredibly well and if needed could be used as a club.
Obviously I see the tomahawk as a weapon more than a tool, but I will be using this for other purposes like when I go camping and if I have need of a hatchet.
This tomahawk is priced at $64.25 on the SOG website, but I found it on Amazon for over 50% off.
All in all, I think this is definitely worth adding to your survivalist, protection arsenal. The blade it self is fashioned from one solid piece of metal and is deeply laid into the polymer handle so it is strong and will not break. It has many uses- both protection and as a utility tool. At $28 from Amazon, you can't beat that!
